Soruetinie siuco people wero astouished by tho birth in Kalauiazoo of two infauts whoso conjoint woight was only three pounds and threo quarters. As usual Jackson has taken a front seat. We natter ourselves that we have the smallest baby yet. On Tuesday night Mrs. Joseph Haskins, residing on the corner of Williams and Rockwell streets, gave birth to a little girl weighing but one pound'and three quarters. Wednesday we called on the littlo strangor and found her to be a well formed baby, not at all bad-looking. It is about a foot long and is perfectly shaped, the body being ratlier smaller in proportion to the limbs than is usually the case, and with a protty good head of hair. It seems to be healthy and as likely to livo and grow as any baby, which wo hope itmay. Mr. Haskins, tho father, has four other childrcn all of whom were full-sized at their birth. Tho mother is doing as well as could bo expected. The instance is creating souao excitement in tho neighborhood as well it may. Again we express our hope that the little one will live through all the obstacles to baby lifo and boconio a littlo wornan somo day.
