The Common Council met in regular ses-ion on Monday. Present Mayor, Recorder, ond all the Aldorraen. Petitions vrere received aud reierrcd as follows: Por a sidewalk on the East side of Spring street, from Miller avenue to Hiscock street, aud on the west of North Fourth streot from Catherine street to tho lands of the M. C. R. R Co. To the Sidewalk Committee. For a street from the " Gravel Road " to east line of A. H. Markham's land. To Street. Coramittee. For a crosswalk from the northweat curnor of the Court House square to the Opera House Blook. To Aldermen of Third ward. The Marshal was instruoted to keep the stroet crossings in the city clear of mud ; the expense of clearing such crossings to be charged to the respective ward f unds, except of crossings across división streets, which shall be charged to the general fund. Mr. Krapf was heard relativo to the payment of an order held by him, but no action taken. The Recorder waa directed to draw an order of $250 on the general street fund, pursuant to resolution of February 2d, in favor of C. Eberbach. The Finance Committee reported adverse to a bilí of Andrew Burk ($25) for building sidewalk on South Main street. Report concurrod in. Finance Committee reported sundry bilis which were allowed, payablo from the several f und3 as follows : General fund, - - - $599.67 First ward " 2.50 Second " ' - - - - 36.11 Fourth " " - - - 13.82 E. B. Gidley was grantcd perinission to withdraw a bilí for servicos as Seeretary of the Board of Health. On motion the action of Aid. Dow, in reinoring the mud from the streets (last Spring) was approved. The annual fiscal report was presented by the Reeorder and ordered published in the Abocs. Tho CouncU adjourued to meet in two weeks.
