The receipts of thraugh cattle were largely in excess of the previous week, but from local sources there was a considerable falling off. The'unfavorable returns of last week depressed the market materially, many shippers holding off ntirely unless sellers met their Tiews, while quite a number have still on hand last week's shipments in the East awaiting a favorable turn. With all these influences the markets were decidedly dull and about 25a30c in buyers' favor. - A sale was reported of twenty four stockers, weighing about 800, for $28 a liead. The following would cover the range : Good shipping grades, State cattle, $5 36 o 5 50 Good butchers' stock 4 50 a ó 26 Rough cattle in good flesh, 4 00 a 4 50 Good straight stockers, for shipment 4 50 a ó 0O HOOS. There wa3 a good demand for hogs and late prices were readily duplicated ; the sales at this point were mostly of store pigs ; prices rangod froin $5 25a5 50.. SHEEP The receipts of through lots were about three timea as large and of local about one-fourth as large as last week. Prices show no material change. Kinq'b Cattle Yards, ? DETKOIT, Monday evening, April 13. J CATTLE.
