Tbis cause caine on to be heard on the pleadings Bied therein, and on the prooi' taken in open court, and on hearing the same, and after hearing tlie argumenta of' Edward D. Kinne and Alphetts Feleh, of' counsel for the eomplainant on his behalf, and of Edwin Lawrence and llirani J. Beakes, of counsel for the defendarcts on Mieir behalf'. On motion of s:iid coun.-el for said complainant, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed, and tús (Jourt, by authority therein vested, doth order, adjudge and decree, that said defendant, Alvan W. Chase, be and lie is hereby absolutely enjoined and restrained frorn carr3'ing on, or being direetly or indirectly engaged in, the business of printing or publishing in the State of Michigan, so long as said eomplainant, Rice A. Bea!, shall reinain or continue to carry on the business of printing and publishing in the city of Ann Arbor, in the County of Washteuaw and State aforesaid. And itisfurther in like manner ordered, adjudged and decreed by tbis Court, that the said defendant, Alvan W. Chase, be and he is hereby restrained and enjoined froru printing or publishing, or being in any manner direetly or indirectly engaged or infcerested in printing or publishing in this State a certain book, eniitléd "ï)r. Chase's Family Physician, Farrier, Bee Keeper, and Second Recatpt Book, being an ontirely new and complete treatise, pointing out, in plain and familiar language, the cansos, symptoms and treatmeiit of the leading diseasL's of' persons andcattle upon couimon sense principies, giving instructions in rclation to buttor and cheese manufacturing and manufactories ; also, full instructions in beekeeping, and entirely new methods of horse taming, or handling vicious horses, breaking colts, etc, etnbracing also a large number of entirely new receipts in all departments of household affairs, and every branch of mechanical industry, with full explanatory and suggostive notes, of great value to the people, in fact the people's book, earefully written and collected (fiom ver niiie years' extensivo correspondence upon these subjects), and compiled from the most authorized scientific and reliable íources, alphabetically arranged, and fully illustrated, by A. W. Chase, author and Former publisher of ' Dr. Chase's Recipes ; w, Information for Everybody,' - ' to pre?ent disease ia better than to cure,' " so long as said complainant shall continue to carry on the printing and publishing business in said cit}1 of Ann Arbor, and shall continue to print and publish acertain book which is meiitioned in the contract between the said complainant and said defendant, Alvan W. Chase, referred to in the bill of complaint filed in this causo, and which is entitled as follows, to-wit : " Dr. Chase's Recipes; or, Information for Everybody." And it is further in like manner ordered, adjudged and decreed, that the said defendant, the Ann Arbor l'rinting and Publishing Company, be and are höreby restrained and enjoined from carryingon or continuing the business öf printing or publishing within said State of Michigan, in connection with said defendant, Alvan W. Chase, or wherein the said Alvan W. Chase sluill be directly or iiwlirectly engaged orinterested.and from printing or publishing, in connection as partners or otherwise, with said Alvau W. Chase, or for his beneiit in whole or in part, within said State, the book the title of which is first above in this decroe mentioned and given, so long as said complainant, Rice A. Beal, shall remain in the business of printing or publishing in said city of Ann Arbor, and shall continue to print and publish the book whose title is last above in this decree given. And it is further in like'nmnner ordered, adjudged and decreed, that, as to the letters in relation to said business in the said contract and in said bill of compluinant mentionod, the injunction heretofore granted and issued in this cause be and the same is hereby retained, and held in full force md virtue as modiöed by this Court on the4th day of September, A. I). 1873, until the further order of this Cjurt, and that the question of damages and coste to bc recovered by said complainant in this causa, as well as the changing or modifying óf the said injunction in regard to the receiving of the letters aforesaid, and all questions involved in this case not finally disposed of' by this Court be and the same are hereby reserved for the f'urthor considcration of
