The Michigan Turnbizerk holds its third biennial Turnfest in this city on Mouday and Tuesday next, June 8th and 9th. At 10 o'clock A. M.( Monday, the procession will form in front of Turner Hall, under the direction of Marshal Widenmann. The first división will be led by Gwinner's Band, and will include Militia Company B of this city, the Comraon Council, and several Maennerchors, Turn Vereins, and Workingmen'a Associations of Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Detroit, Sagiuaw City, Jackson, and Toledo. The second división, led by the East Sgiuaw Reed Band, will include Musical and Turn Verein Aasociations of East Saginaw, Detroit, Grand Bapids, Adrián, and Ann Arbor. The third división, led by Drum Corps, Detroit, wil include the Turner Zceglingea (pupila) of Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor. Proceeding to Turner Park, Dr. C. Georg will deliver the Festival Addreas at 1 o'clock p. M. Gymnastic exercises will commence at 2 o'clock p. M., for which prizes will be awarded. In the evening an Operetta entitled " Incognito " will e given at the Opera House. On Tuesday there will be a Festival Dinner t the Park, with a grand ball in the eveuing nd distribution of prizes. Chester Yost, who died in that city on the 24th, aged 68 years. Mr. Yost carne from Séneca Couuty ;o Ypsilanti in 1846, since which he has been one of the most prominent and best respected citizens of our neighboring city. We made his acquaintance eoon after coming to the county, and in 1859 were associated with him as fellow Senator from this county, and knowing him ;hus intimately learned to respect and esteem tñm. The Aldine for June is a capital number of a capital periodical. The engravings are of unusual excellence. Among them are four pictures by Thos. Moran, reproducíng Vermont acenery. Their subjects are : On the Missisquoi, A Glimp8e of the Missisquoi, The Missisquoi at Sheldon Springs, and Mount Mansfiek from Rice Hill, a combination of rockB and water and forest and mountain good to look at on a hot day. Arthur Parton has a full page, a Scène on the Shenandoah, ne.ir Harper's Ferry, very beautiful. The other pictures are good. The contenta are varied and excellent, but the number must be Been and read to be appreciated. James Sutton & Co., New York City. The Duluth Daily Jlerald has suspended publioation for an entirely new and original reason, which it thus stated : " It must not be gupposed, bccauae we stop the Daily llerald that we could not carry it on, as such is not the fact. We have all the pluck necessary and can raise the inoney, but the editor of this paper does uot propose to submit to an official insult from the City Council of Duluth or any official body."
