Washington, June 30.- The President having directed that all correspondence on the part of the Centennial Commission, or any of its offioers with tho governnient may be conducted through the Department of the Interior, Secretary Delano has called the attention of the Secretary of State to the joint resolutiou, approved June 5th, authorizing the extensión of a cordial invitation to foraign governments to particípate in the exhibition, and roquested him to transniit copies of the resolution abroad. Seoretary Delano says in his letter that it has been considered neceasary by the commission in charge of the exhibition to revise its general regulations, heretofore issued, and to extend the dates assigned forcertuiu stages of the work, and the revisión is now in progress. Mr. Delano therefore requests that the governments of other nations be duly apprised through the representatives of thia government of the foregoing facts, and that all the necessary int'ormation in regard to the exhibition whioh may be desired can be obtained by coinmunieatinp; with A. T. Goshoru. direotor-ganeral of the exhibition.
