New Yohk, üct. 20.- Tho Post says the llothchild-Seligman syndioate havo made their settleineuts with the Treasury for November and December, whicb means that they have sent into the Treasury the f) -20 bonds which have been called and on which interest ceases November 1 and December 1, so that calculations that the Treasury will have to pay out any considerable amonnt of gold tor these bouds will be at fault. The amount of called bonds maturing November 1 is $'5,000,000, and the amount maturing December 1 is $10,000,000. One of the chief reasons for the rise in exchange is that securities are coming here froni Europe in considerable amounts. It is understood that a largo amount of Erie shares are on the way trom London, as well as United States bonds from the Germán markets, the latter having been ordered here because this has been the high market. Private advices from Germany say that there is considerable uneasiness because of the recent declara tions of two States in favor of redeeraing United States bonds in greenbacs instead of coin. It was reported on the street this morning that Erio has closed a loan for $',},- 000,000 in the London market, at a price below the previous negotiations. The Saginaw River saw-milk are shuting down for the season.
