We give below tabular statements of the votes polled in this county at the recent election, for Governor, Representativo in Congross, Senator, Representativos in the State Legislature, and County officers (excepting Surveyor and Coroners). The tables are copies of those made by the County Clerk as Secretary of the Board of County Canvassers which oonvened on Tuesday and oompleted the canvasa on Wednesday. For the several State offloes exoept Governor, for the Surveyor and Coroners, and on the Constitutional questions, we give only the aggregate vote in the county. The total vote for Governor, as shown by the table (a few votes short of some of the other State candidates), is 7,602, against 7,474 votes for Governor in 1872, or 7,379 in 1870, another " off year." The aggregate is, however, 1,376 short of the vote polled in 1868, showing either that the voting population of the county has decreased, or that there is a great deal of indifference or don't-careativene8s on the part of the electora. We shall leave our readers, and especially the defeated candidates, to analyze the tables for themselves, and determine to their own satisfaction, if possible, the why and wherefore of the great discrepancias in footings. One thing is certain : a nomination uo longer carries with it the party vote. The candidates first named in the tables are Democrats : GOVERNOR AND MEMBER OF COHGRESS. WaldChamb'lin. Bagley. Last week the Arqus lelt the readers in doubt as to who is Governor. It it now oertain that Baglet ia re-elected say by a majority soinewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000. Hia associates on tha State ticket are also all elected, and by somewhat larger majorities. The Senate is likely to be a tie, and the Eepublicans will have a small majority, - say four to eight on joint ballot. A little inore work - with foresight to direct it - would have jiven a complete Democratie victory. - Latest figures elect Bradley, Eepublican, in the Eighth Congressional disrict, by a small majority, making the lelegation stand six Republicana to three Demócrata. - If Lenawee and Monroe counties lad kept John J. Eobison up with Chamerlain, he would have been elected. And then if the Hillsdale " Eeformers," who brought Eobiaon out, and would not et him decline, had run Waldron behind, according to promise, he would have had a handaome majority to spare. But then hat y is a great stumbling block. Well, as it is, John J. made a run (a " home run" t least) that he has reaspn to be proud f. Better luck to him next time. The vote scored for and against tb reviaed " Constitution or so-called '; alendments " at the late electioa in this ounty, was as follows : Tor amendments, - 1,432 Against, - .... 4J85 Majority "No," ... 3,353 Woman Suffrage " kicked the boam," y the following vote : Woman Suffrage - - - 1,348 " -No, - - 5,010 Majority "No," - 3,662 The mathematician has not yet been 8covered bold enough to estímate the majority in the State againat either tho )ody of the Conatitution or the Womau uffrage proposition. A good one is credited to Hon. A. C. Jaldwin, of Pontiac : and that is aa reerring, in a late after election jubilee peecb, to the late J. W. Begole, as " the man who took hia boy out of the public school because he was required to spell ater beginuing with a " }."
