Washington, Monday, Dec. 7.- Senate.- The Senate wan callod to order precieely at 12 o'clock by Vioe-Presideut Wileon. After prayer by the Chaplain, Anthony (E. I.) ofíered a reaolution inatructing the Secretary of the Senate to iuíorm tlie Houce of Bspreseutatlves that a quorum of the Senate had asbembled and that the Senate was ready to proaeed to business. Agreed to. onkling and Thurman were appointed a committee to wait upon t'je President and inform him that they were organized and ready to reeeive any communication he might desireto make....A recesa uutil 1 o'clock waa then voted, at which time tlio Senato reasaembled and üstened to the readiag of the President's mesnage. House.- Speaker Blaiue called the House to order promptly at noon Dawen, Beek and Hale wero appointed a comtnittee to wait upon the President. ..Hielp (N. J.) asked for nnanimoua consent to introduce and put on ita i);isag(í a bilí repealing the law relatin"; to libéis in the District of (Jolumbia, commonlv known aa the "Press Gag law." Hale olijected. . . At 1 o'clock thePresident'a message was rccc.ved and read.
