One of the moi-t buugling and revolting executions on record was tliat of the hanging of the two negroas, Jarvis and Jackaou, at Hempstead, near New York city, on Fiiday of last week. Tho account of the eickening affair. as reported by telegraph, relates that at 11:26 the weiglit was released, aud both bodies sprang into the air, but only for au instant was one snipended, and in the next momeut wae witneaeed an inexpreesibly horribie sight. Tho body of Jackson was drawn up quickly, and his sttuggles of agony began, bnt Jarvis' body had risen perhaps a foot when tho rope broke, aud he struck the platform equarely on his feet, completely paraUzed by terror, and undoubtedly terrribly hurí by the jerk of the hoohg on hi neck. There was a pause of shuddering ilence all over the yard, and the half-lifeless form swayed forward and would have fallón but for the intervention of the Suerifi'a arm.
