The Buffalo Courier Bays : Augustus Catwinkle, of Salisbury, Herkimer Couuty, left his home lsgt Wednesday week to look at soine tiniber land sev eral miles distant. He become lost and while crossing a creek broke through. He pulled off his boots to empty the water and they froie so hard he could not get them on again. He then crawled for a long distance on his his hands and kneos in search of sotne refuge from the penetrating atinogphere but death put au end to his sufferings and when luund he was in thatposition It was geen where he had attempted t build a fire with bark whioh he hac pulled trom the tree, and in nothr place he attempted to iuke a shelter froin the night in the top of bushy npruoe tree.
