The Kegents meot to-day. - The Medies want photograph.H, too. - The Junior Hop will be held this evening at the Armory of Corapany B. - Louise Woodworth Foss, of Buaton, will give select readiugs in University Hall this evening. - Ëxaminations at tho Uuivorsity commence on Monday next, and continue through the week. - To-night Mrs. Louise Woodworth Foss Kives readings betore the Student's Lecture Assoeiation. - Last Sunday afternoon Dr. Cocker diacussed Tyndall's Belfast address, and the discuBsion will be eontinued uext Sunday. - Hon. Dwight May, of Kalamazoo, has been inritcd to deliver the address before the graduating class of the Law Department, in March next. - The address before the medical class at commencement will be delivered by Dr. K. O. Kedzie, of the Agncultural College at Lansing, a gradúate of the medical class of 1851. - The members of the class of '72 will hold an informal re-union at Hangsterfer's, on Friday evening, February 26th. It is expected that there will be quite a full atteudauce. - Prof. (Jooley has iuformed the Junior Law class that they are entitled to attend the afternoon quizzies of the Senior class, which announcemeut was made public Munday morning by Prof. Kent. - Wednesday morning, Mr O. C. Johnson, assistant in the Chemical Laboratory, was presentea with TJre's Dictionary of Arts, Manufactures and Mines, edited by Robert Hunt. The preseutation was made in behalf oi the Junior Pharmacy olass. - The Adelphi Literary Society, at its meeting Friday evening, elected the following ofticers for the eusmug semester: H. Clark Ford, President; C. W. Woodbridge, Vice-President ; L. C. Andrews, Kecording Socretar}' ; E. S. Stockbndge, Correeponding Secretary ; J. S. Cromble, Treasurer; W. D. Hiukley, Librarían ; L. C. Huil, Assistant Librarían. - The annual Public of the Webster Sooiety was held Friday evening in University Hall, and a large audience was present to hear ye limbs of the law discussthe following questiou, " Resolved, That direct government subsidies to commercial enterprises are necessarily hurtful to national prosperity." Messrs. R. H. Vickers and W. R. Taggart spoke upon the affirmative and the negative was represented by Messrs. E. M. Joslin and J. P. Campbell. Previou8, however, to the discussion of the f[uestion, an oration upon " The Vaticau Council" was delivered by Alvin W. Kumler, which was well rendered. The exercises were fully as good as those ot provious years, and the youug men acquittod themselvex with honor.
