Almost A Fire

-A small house owned hy William Graves, and occupied by a colorea family, in the Fif th ward, was discovered to be on fire by James Jones, who was on his way home Sunday night. Ho immediately gave the alarm, when Guy Beckly and son soou made their appearance, and in a short time they succeeded in extinguishing the ñames, which had cummunicated from au ash box to the side of the building. The inmates had not awakened, and but for the fortúnate discovery, what might have been a deatructive conflagration, was averted, with perhaps the loss of Ufe.
