- Prof. Adams will deliver the discourse at University Hall next Sunday afernoon. - Rev. Dr. Cocker occupied the pulpit of the Presbyterian Church Sunday Mornmg. - The attendauce at Gen. Banks' lecture was smaller than at any lecture of the season. - The largest addition to the classes in elective studies this semester has been to the class in History. - Last evening Rev. W. H. H. Murray lectured before a good audience at University Hall. Subject : The Adiroudacks. - Prof. Adams was confined to hia room last week on account of trouble with his eyes. He is now, however, able to attend to his classes. - Itis thought that Dr. Cocker's new work, "Tne Theistic Conception of the World," will be ready in about six weeks. It is to be published by Harper & Brother, N. Y. - Prof. Harrington has an article in the February number of The School, on "How to Teach Zoology." The School is published by Professors of the Normal School, at Ypsilanti. - The examinations at the Univnrsity were very satisfactory this year. Each student, upon passing a study, is furnished with a receipt, thus obviating all danger of mistakes in the future in regard to the record. Tired of waiting for the city to bui ld water works, by which the urgent daily deraands of the University may be met, and disgusted both with the " hauly" system and suow melting, the Regents, at their meeting on Wednesday, resolved to ask the Legislature to appropriate $5,000 to enable them to bring water to the University grounds and buildings, from the southern part of the city. The laboratory and the several boilers for heating purposes require a large water supply.
