At a meeting of the citizens ot the Second ward of the city of Ann Arbor, held Tuesday evening, Fab. 16, 1875, the following proceedïngs were had : Henry Krause was elected chairman ; Frederick Pistorius, Secretary. The resoluticns to be considered by the Oonimon Council of the city of Ann Arbor, on February 19th, 1875, respecting Water Works, were read by the Secretary, and the following cnanges in euch resolutious proposed and adopted : Wheeeas, The Coinmon Council of the city of Aun Arbor is to consider certain lesolntions to induce a company to construct Water Works for said city, 1. It is proposed that the Common Council reserve the privilege to fix the line of water mams and pipes and the location of the hydrants, and strike out the following words in the third section of said resolutions, ■ On the line of mains that shall have been established by said company" and otherwise to atnend its resolutions to that effect. 2. Proposed, that the Common Council strike out that part of the fifth section ot said resolution "exempting such company from taxation." 3. Proposed, that the Common Council strike out that part of the flfth resolution allowing such company au annual net income of ritteen per cent., and insert in the fiith ection, that such company shall have ten per cent., over and above operating expenses, cast of extensión, and repairs and interest on money borrowed. 4. Resolved, That the Adermen of the Second ward present the foregoing propositions to the Common Council, aud vote for the resolutions as amended. The meeting then adjourned sine die.
