Pursuant to cali a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Washtenaw County Agricultural aud Horticultural Society was held at the Court House, on Thursday, Feb. '25th. President Leiand in the chair. The Treasurer reported the indebtednesa of the society to be : At date of last meeting, $2,264 76 Amounts allowed siuce that date, Ï13 75 Total indebtedness at this date, 12278 58 On motion of Mr. Uhl, a committee of five were appointed to revise premium list. The chair appointed the followiug as such mittee Messrs. J. J. Parshall, Ann Arbor; Geo. Phelps, Webster ; Geo. Peters, Scio ; D. M. Fiuley, Aun Arbor ; D. M. Uhl, Ypsilanti. Ou motiou, President Leiand was added to the committee. On motion, the meeting proceeded to the election oí a Superintendent oí the Fair grounds lor the present year, and D. M. Finley was declared elected. On inotion, John S. Nowland was elected Marshal for the ensuing year. Un moción, a Business Uommittee oí uve, with President Leiand as Chairinan, were appointed, consisting of Messrs. D. M. Finley, John S. Nowland, J. S. Heuderson and D. L. Uodfrey. ün motion, D. M. Finley was instructed to Bubsoribe for the American Herd Book for the coming year. On motiou, tlie following named gentlemen were elected Superinteudentsot the different department8 : Horses- Patriek Tuomy, Scio. Sheep - (jreo. Rash, Lodi. Swine - Jas. Rash, Ann Arbor Town. Agricultural Implemento- W. H. Dell, Saline. Grain and Seeds-Ï. L. Godfrey, Anu Arbor Town. Fruit - J. Austin Scott, Ann Arbor City. Floral Hall - Benj. Brown, Ann Arbor City. Poultry - Kansom Townsend, Superior. Veyetables - Jas. Arnold, Dexter. The Superintendent was directed to see to the insuring of the buildings on the Fair ground8. lt was voted to have an address at the next Fair, and tliat the Business Committee be directed to procure a speaker. On motion, Messrs. L. Davis, J. J. Parshall and W. A. Lovejoy were appointed ccminittee on printing. On raotion, it was resolved to hold the next Annual Fair on the week following the tState Fair, viz : Wednesday, ïhursday and Friday, Sept. 22d, 23d and 24th. The meeting adjourned, subject to cali of President.
