In attompting to dislodge a stick that ïad caught between the knives of a corn cuter, his left hand was badly lacerated in conseuence of a young Ïad who was turning the machine nut stopping wlieu crdered to do so. - Mary McGlowin, eleven years of age, daughter oí Owen McGlowin, who resides near the Observatory, met with a terrible accident Monday morning. Sbe was sleepmg in a room up stairs, and soon after getting out of bed, got hold of some matches, and while plsying with ïem her night clothes caught tire, and before elief reaclied her, was fearfully bumed. She ived until the afternoou, when death put an nd to her sufferings. Two ad y members of the class were then sworn in, fterwards the young men, to each of whom ertificates were given by County Clerk Tuite.
