The annual Commencement exerci9es of the medical departinent took place in University Hall on Wednesday forenooo. Both the luw and medical classes, headed by BishofTs Opera House band, filed in and took the seats reserved tor them, after which prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Brown. Kedzie, of Lansing, a gradúate of the class of '61. The address abounded in witticisms and prictical hints, and was attentively listened to. His subject was : " The office of the physiciau in the prevention of diseaae." The exercuses of the Law Commencement were held in the afternoon, with au address by the Hon. Chas. S.
