Monet, and How To Make It, by H. L; Keade, formerly editor of Hearth and Home ; pp. 604. J. C. McCurdy & Co., Publishers. Ciucinnati, Ohio ; Chicago 111., and St. Louis Mo. This is a capital book f ar those desiring to understand the use of monoy and the art of making and saving it. When we say thia much, we simply say it is a capital book for everybody to read, for who is not interested in getting money ? The methods laid down by the author are all sound, and they reach every class of men - tho professional man as well as the capitalist, the manufacturar as well as the farmer, the skilied artisan as well as the everyday laborer. All are shown here how they may better their conditions, and with perseverance, get rich. ïhe book is timely and useful in every respect. Tha volume is large, manding in appearance, appropriateiy illuscrated, and neatly printed. If more of such books were printed, there would be far more mouey-making in the world, and less squandering. Next to religión, the questiun of setting a competency is the most important. Yet it is one but little understood, through want of attention to plans forstartiug in life and to the laws of steady accumulation. Money, and How to Makk it will help thousands to start right, and, indeed, no one can read it without gathering ideas of the greatest practical value.
