Tho comiensntion for the services required of the Township Superintendent of Schools shall be two dollars a day for cach day nccessarily devoted to the discharge of tho duties of his" otiico. toKother with such stationery, postag'o, and prnmng as may bc nocessary for the discharge of his duties, the same to bo audited by the towuship board, and paid as othor expenses of the townnhip. Sec. HU. All schools which by a special enactment may havo a board authorized to inspect and graut certifleates tb the teachers employed by tho same, ahall be exeinpt from the provisious of tliis act as to inspectiou of teachers. The ofticers of every school district which ie or shall hereaf ter be organized in whole or in part m any city in tliis State, where no special enaptmenta shall exist in regard to the inspection of teachera thereiu, shall have power to inspect and license. or cause to be inspoctcd, teachers for such district, and sueh license shall be valid not to oxcoed two years. Sec. 1)1. That ehapter one hundred aud thirty-nirie of the Comiiiled Lnws of eighteen hundred aud soventy-one. entitled "An act to provide for County Superintendente! of Schools, and to amerid socti'on ninety-ono, and to repeal sections seventj--four, 'oighty-ñve, eighty-eix, eighty-seven, eighty-eight, eighty-nine and niiiet'v of ehapter sevc-nty-eight of the Compiled Laws' approvod Jiarch 13th, 1807, is hereby repealed, and the sectioua namod in the title recited in this section are hereby fully repealed. Sec. 2. This act shall take effect March 31st, 1875. Approved March 20. 1875. The J'eople of the State of Michigan enact, That sections 68 and 80 of ehapter 13G of the Córapiled Laws of 1871, boing compiler's sections 8G38 and 3G4S), rclutiug to primary schools, be and hereby are amended so as to read aa follows: Sec. G8. The School Inspector and the Towusliip Snperinteudeut of Schools elected at the animal township meeting, together with the Township Clerk, shall constitute the Township Bo.ird of School Inspectors, and the Superintendent of Schools sliall be the chairman thereoi'. and the Township Clerk tho Clerk thereof. Skc. 80. It shall bo tho duty of the Superintendent of Schools to fnmish the Township Clerk a list of the names of all persons to whom ■ he has given certiticates to teach iu such township, with the date and term of each, and if any aro revoked, tho name and date of such rèvocation, and the Iioard of School InSöéctórs; beforB making their annual report to the ('ounty ülerki sliall examine said hst, and if in anv school districi. ;i Bühool shall not have; been tu'ught for the time required by law duriug the preceding school year by a quali! lied teacher, no part of the public money hall ! be distributcd to' such dintrict. nlthough tho report from such district shall sot forth that a school has been so taugbt ; and it shall be the duty of the board to certily to the facts in relatioiï to any siich dintrict in their report to the Couuty Clerk: I'rovidrd, Iwicever, That a eertiiicate in forco provided by law to bo given to inaduates of tho State Normal School, or a certifícate from other lawful authority. shall be ! recognized ns valid as to tho district employing a teacher holdin such certiticate.
