John Jonmngs, a Brooklyn laborer, who recently died, made a will in 1873, in favor of his sister, Ml. Marg&ret Carboy. The will is contested by hia brother on questions of fftot, and as it is ralher cnrious it is given in inll: " I, John Jetmings, in sound mind and proper sence in tho name of God I mako this will. I will Iwo thoumnd dollars to Mrs. Carboy me sister, $700 to John Kindrcgan me wiféa brótter, if na diafl beforo he can got the money his children muy get it themselvcs, Miok, James and City. I also luve 8600 to Celia, Mrs Larkin if she is dead her children may git the money- equal shares and t'wenty pound to Bridget - Mrs. Madden, and if she is dead to her son Pfttrick or ehilder may get it. I also lave .$50 to Bishop McOloskoy for the nou oathedrnl, and J50 for tlio lïishop of Brooklyn for tho neu cathedral, and $50 for tho fathers in Houboucken for the nuo chm-ch, and $50 for the sisters, theni that is most in nood of it.
