About 5 o'clock Wednesday evemng, the usual quietnöss of the 5th ward was somewhat disturbed by a racket on Broadway, caused by a race for the drinks, between the noted Holladay teum, driven by Prof. Jones, the whiatler, and the Hturap puller, by her owner John. The Holladay team came out second best, owniug to hijrh feeding. During the race the proprietor of the new atore made a rush to the front door, his foot coming in contact with a basket of new potatoes which landed him head tirst mto a basket of fresh eggs, which is always on hand. Our reporter was not present when the above occurence took place, but the facta of tlie case are vouched for by a Mr. S. B, and supported by the statement of a Mr. S. A.
