At the time the bridge was ] crowdod by pedestrians, and mach excitement prevailed. Bawlin immediately rose to the surface and swam to Old Swan steamboat pier. Meanwhile several watermen, who thought he had attempted suicide, rowed after ths young rcan. A ropo wal thrown to him from B steamer, und the man, who was a firstclass swiminer, got on to the vessel. -
