üov. IngersoU, of Conneeticut, has appoiuted a comuiittee to consider the advisability of using the "amended orthography " in pnblishiiiR tho official documenta printed by the State. It consiste of Senator V. W. Fowier, who introduced the resolution ; Prof. W. D. Whitney, of Yale College ; Dr. J. Hammond Trumbull, Prof. C. Van Benschoten, of Wesleyan University ; Prof. B. G. Northop, of tho lVard of ( Eduoation, and Prof. Samuel Hart, of : Trinity College.
