The following, from the Marshall Statesman, will serve to show how the Courier's "Narra:ive" is appreciated away from home : " IE the Ann Arbor Courier oiroulates outaide of the State, people who are iiot acquainted with tha University and who are left to torm an opinión of it by the contenta of the Cuurier, must be compelled to place a very ow estímate upon the average ability and coinmon sense of the Ann Arbor studente. Col,ege studente as a class, the world over, are not noted for their proiundity, but certainly ;he mental pabulum, in the form of " A Narrative," served weekly by the Courier, cannot De a fair specimen of the literary diet required by the studeuts of the University. The editor of the Courier ought to have better senae than ;o pour such gruelly stuff over his readers ; or, at least, he ought to have some regard for the ;he reputation of his town. Ii we are mistaken as to the requirements of a majority of the Ann Arbor studeuts, we still say that the Courier ought to know better than to exposé ;heir vealiness.
