Lectures in the Medical Department of the University closed on Wednesday. At the special meeting) of the Board of Eegents held on Tuesday, Col. Grant was the only absentee. S. S. Walker, Regent elect, met with the Board, and got an insight into the pleasant duties awaiting him. President Angelí adviaed the Regenta on Tuesday that he had received a communication from Dr. Tappan, expressing an intention to be preBent at the next commencement. The Regents on Tueslay extended a vote of thauks to Dr. Finch, of Adrián, for the gift ot a valuable furnace to the Dental School. A medicalprofessor said to the ladies' class, at the close of last Wednesday's lecture, that he had new proof that the curioaity of womeu did not exceed that of man, in that " he had that morning received three notes from young men (students) aeking him where he got his new coat, while not a young lady had indicated any knowledge of his having oue." We clip the followiug paragraph from the Toledo Commercial of Friday last : The Commercial has been authoritatively informed that Mr. Crane, the coutractor who recently purchased the Toledo, Ann Arbor & Northern Railroad at bankrupt sale, has made deñnite arrangements whereby that road will be immediateiy completed. The details are not vet completed, and for the time being we are uot permitted to say anything further. We may say, however, that the road will be a narrow gaue.
