On each committee the Republican minority is fairly and justly represented not only by its most ut men, but on all important corumittees by a grearer number of' members than it has in the past been the practioe to assign to the minority. Upon the whole, there is much more in Mr. Spoaker's arrangement of the CDmmittees to be approvod than there is to be ceneured. With a few exceptions he has probably done the best that could have been done with the poor material at hand. He has given mortal offense to most of the corrupt old party humbugs by sending thein to the rear, for which all honest men will be thankful.
