meeting of the Washtenaw Couuty Agrioultural and Horticultural Society was held in Fireiuen's Hall m this city on Tuesday forenoon aud afternoon, witli a slim attendauce. Bon. Saiuson Parker, of Lima, was elected President of the society, vice Philip Bocli, elected at the annual meeting but who refiwed to accept. Wesloy Canfleki, of Lima, was elected Vice-L'resident, in place of Mr. Parker promoted. Mr. Goodrich, from the coinmittee appointed to look into tho iinanuial oondition of the society, made a somewhat detailed report, the conclusión arrived at bcing that the society was in debt, and with no available resources to meet obligations, iu the sum of f 3,000. The l'rosident, Secretary, and ïreasurer were authorized to borrow money at a rate of interest not to exceod 10 por cent., to pay off former loaus aud other debts. A reaolution was adopted iustructing the Secretary to cali a meeting of the life raembers, to be held ou the 29th iuat., to consider a proposition to waive their special and charter privilege of admission, etc, without payment of annual fee. And that is about all that was done.
