Real], of Philudelphia, makes public the following lettor from Speaker Kerr, concerning the Democratie National ticket to be placed in nominatiou the present year : Washington, January 25, 1876. J. H. Roall, Esq., Philadalphia. Dear Sir - Several days ago I received by mail, acompanied with your card, an artielo ovor your name, published in the Düaioare (Jounty Dumocrat of December 30, last. I perusod the article with much interest, aud many of its views command my unqualifíud approval, but I have only time now to thank you for your vory kind reference to me in that article, and to say that it is not my desire in any degreo whatever that my name be used in connection with the National ticket of this year. The Indiana Demócrata will present to our naxt National conventiou, another of hor sons as a candidato for tho Presidency, Gov. Hondricks, in whoae advocacy for that high place 1 will stand with them in hearty co-operation. My judgment is that our friends this yoar cannot do better, if so woll, thuii to nomínate Gov. Hendricks.
