A polĂ­ceman at the City Hall, Detroit, yesterday saw a boy leading a big dog around, and believing the dog to have been stolen, he asked : "Boy, where did you get that dog?" "To home," was the prompt reply. "How long have you had hiin ?" "O, ever so long." "You didn't piek him up anywhere ?" "No, sir - we raisod him from a little child ! " was the grave answer. A wild goose flew into Oregon, and it erop being opened revealed a new kind of grain. From the seed forty bushels have been raised, and the Oregon farmers are sitting on the fenees with their elbows on their knees wondering whnt they shall cali the new kind of whiskey they will make from it. ____ Mrs. Livermore says girls are not particular enough about the men they marry. Mrs. Stoue, of Omaha, is so particular about the mnn sho maiTied that she takes her sewing to his office, and sits there all day, till he ia ready to go home.
