Sad Accident

A. sad and fatal accident occurred on the 16th inst, in the neighborhood of W. S. Crafts, in Sharon. Two boys about 10 or 12 years old, while playing during the noontime recesa of the district school, went upou the ice íorined by a small pond of water made by the recent heavy rains. They had ventured but a iew feet when the ice broke and both boys were drowned. One lad was taken out shortly after by Mr. E. Crafts, but the other remained in the water forthree hours or more. One was the son of Louis Wacker, the other of James Corwin. The community are saddened by this truly distressing calamity. It is hard to part with our children, even after being warned oí the possibility by lingering diseaee, but how heartrendmg to have them snatched from us in so summary a marnier and while in the f uil enjoymentof health.
