Believing that tlie cities of Lima and Callao, Peru, will grow toward each other, Harry Meiga has bouglit up all the land betweïn them, and between the river Rimac, on the north, and the maoadmized road on the south, aniounting to nearly 4,000 acres. Through the center of this tract, and extending in a straight line from one city to another - a distance of six miles - he has laid out and donated to the public a boulevard 270 feet wide, divided into seven parts, each one separated from the other by row of blue gum trees.
