Harper's Magazine is the first of the July Bsues to come to our table. It opens with The Bullad of Arabella, by J. T. Trowbridge, with seren illustratíous. Amoug tha mora noticeable illustrated papers are : Block Island, by Charles Lanman ; " The Father of the Revolution," by Ellis Gray ; Modern Dwellings: their Uonstruotion, Decoration, and Furniture, by Jïudson Holly ; aud the Bryant Vase, by Dr. Samuel Osgood. Uarth, by Julián Hawthorn, and Daniel Deromla, by George Bhot, are continued ; Lord Macaulay and hisFriendB, by E. H. Stoddard, i concluded; there is a sketch of the writer of the Doclarütion, by John Esten Cook, with a portrait, and numerous other readable papers. The Eilitor's Chair, Editor's Drawer, etc., are well til led. Haepeb fc Bhothers, New York. The Record of the Year has a fine steel portrait of the late A. T. Stewart, with a sketch of his careor, etc; the usual diary of important event of the month dished up (April), and soine two hundred other articles, prose and poetry, anecdote and incident, scientiflc aud litorary.
