A citizen of the Cass farm has a vacant iot fenced in to preserve the grass, and, notwithstanding Lis many signs of "Don'fc touch the grass" posted upon the fence, he yesterday raorning found a man mowing away for dear life, while a boy was loading the grass into a wagon. " Who gave you perniission to cut tnat grass?" shouted the owner. "Kobody," replied the man, aa he restcd f rom his work. " Grass is a natural product of the soil, nursed and oared for by nature, and it is as free to one animal as another." "Leatheris a preparation made f rom thé hides of grazing animáis," said the citizen as he stiffened the muscles of his legs. "It is made by tanners, worked up by shoemakers, and 111 give you all you -want for nothing." The oíd man kicked. back, but righf and justico must ever triumph.and when he went over the fence his eyes had a wild expression, and he yelled t ni) boy : :'Git that hosson a gallop, Sam, or we'll never see home again."
