"-Ou Tueaday afternoon Chas. Staebler, who engaged in topping out a straw stack on e farm of his brother, Fred. Staebler, near CorDweU's milis in Scio, feil from the stack breking his neck. _ At the annual school meeting in Ypsilnti last week the followiug Trustees were Ijüted : E. Laible for one year ; J. M. Chidjjter for two years ; and B. W. Hemphill and n g. It he makes as good a paper as Mac did the Dexter people wght to give him a liberal support. _ A six feet flag-stone walk is to be im ediately put down around the Court House Square, outside of the old gravel walk line,- thus enlarging the square,- and outside of that a paved gutter. A favorable contract has been made for the stone, and the Central Bailmad brings it up from Detroit at half freight ratas. _ s Qapt. Hasou and sou were driving intothe city on Wednesday evening, they turned out for a meeting team and tipped over into the deep ditch which has recently been cut dlong Miller avenue near the Third ward Khoolbouse. Capt. Huson was so severely liuised that he had to be carried to his home. The young man escaped with less injury. The horee became so eutangled that he could not run away. _ Eev. G. L. Foster, son of Lomuel Foster, of Aira Arbor town, and for nine years pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Ypsilwiti, prior to which he was pastor of churches at Jackson md Clinton, and since which he has beeu pastor at Coldwater, Bethel, Conn., Howell, and Lapeer, died at the latter place on the 9th inst, agsd 58 years, leaving a wife and a Iarge family of children. Mr. Foster was well tnown in this community and had a Iarge circleof friends throughout the State.
