It indicates tun ahead. - The annual rental of pews in the new Congregational Church will take place on Monday next, October 2d, at 3 o'clock p. m. - The animal Fair of the Eastern Michigan Aricultural Society coinmences at Ypsilanti on Tuesday next, October 3d, aud coutinues four days. - Our old fellow-citizen S. B. McCraokeu' of Detroit, was in the city on Monday laat : looking after subscribera to bis forthcoming Ceotennial volume. - One of the moat delightful routes to the Centennial is by steainer from Detroit to Cleveland aud thence by the Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Penusylvania Kailroad. - A regular session of the Waahtenaw County Medical Society is to be held at the Exchange Hotel, Dexter, to-day. Essays are to be read by Dr. Maclean aud Dr. Ultes. - Bev. ïtusaell B. Pope, the newly appointed pastor to the M. E. Church of this city, preached his introductory discourse on Sunday morning last, to a Iarge congregation, making a favorable impressiou. - Kev. C. H. Brigham will preach in the ünitarian Church next Suniay morning and lectura in the evening, at the usual hours. The Students' Class will meet in the lower room of the church at 9:30 A. M. - The next regular meeting of the Ann Arbor Scieutiüc Association will be held in the ola chapel of the University on Saturday evemng, Oct. 7. A paper will be read by Prof. I'ettee, aud probably other papers. - Dr. W. F. Breakey has returned from his trip to the East in inipioved health.
