New Orleans, Nor. 15. - Gen. Sheridan, E. W. Stoughton, of New York, Senator Stierman, of Ohio, Hona. John A. Kasson, of Iowa, W. 1). Kelly, of Pennsylvania, and Eugene Hale, of Maine, arrived here this afternoon. The Kepublicana will reply to the note of the Demócrata to-morrow. No action to-day by either party. It is understood that the Republicana are gathering affidavita in aeveral parishes showing intimidation, etc. The Demoorata, it ia stated, will secure soveral thousand affidavits of colored peraon8 who voluntarily voted for Tilden and Niehols. Several lettera are publiahed this evening from colored men in St. Mary's Parish denying the statement of Governor Kellogg that in every parish except Ouachita and East and West Feliciana, the colored vote haa been cast solidly for the Eepublioans. Gen. Andereon, of the returning board, arrived to day. Gov. Wells is expected to-night. The board will meet to-morrow.
