The newspapors may have been " a little tt o fast," but the following paragraph, oopiei from the RepuUican of Nov. 24, shows the source of their information : The following table includes the official returns from all the counties of Michigan eicepting nine, as cauvaased and declarad by the State board this morning. The anti-liquorliiense clause is obliterated by 58,057 yeas to 50,636 nays ; the increase of salaries írom f 1,500 to $2,600 for circuit judges is carried by 63,146 yeas to 62,867 nays ; the change of time for voting on amenimeuts from November to April is carried by 50,427 yeas to 20,838 nays. Thus all three of the proposed amendments are indorsod by the popular vote, and will become a part of tho State constitution Jan. 1, 1877. The nine counties ouiitted in the Republican'i tables are : Berrien, Chippewa, Isle Eoyal, Keweenaw, Maokinac, Manitou, Ontonagon, Sanilac, and Sohoolcraft. Berrien gave a majority of 1,476 again8t the salary ameudment and Sanilac a majority of 269 against the same amendment, leaving it 1,466 votes behind, with aeven counties, giving for Presidantial eluctors but 2,706 votes, to hear from. This showing indicates the rejection of the amendment. The people seem to be satisfied with " cheap judges."
