The legislativo committee continued the investigation of the laboratory detalcation or dehciencies during Friday, Saturday, Monday, aud Tuesday, holding evening sessions Friday Monday, aud Tuesday. The examination of l)r. Douglas was concluded on Fnday, Regent Grant re-called and Regent Rynd examined. Dr. Rose was put upon the stand on Saturday, and hi8 examiuation continued, with slight interruptions, until and during Monday evening. On Tuesday forenoon and evening Messrs. E. D. Kjune, H. D. Bennett, W. A. Tolchard, Dr. Prescott, A. J. Sutherlaud, and J. W. Kuight were exainined. ü-ov. Felch was also eiamined on one of the days. The committee held no session Tuesday afternoon, giïing the time to a visit to the University. The committee is to resume its session at Lansing to-day, the books and papsrs having been taken there. Dr. Rose's examination will be coucluded there and other wituesses esamiued. At tliis date Dr. Kose's friends claim the imide track, and unless Dr. Douglas can make clear and deñuite explanation of certain draits and figures, their claim seems well grounded. This explanation it is claimed will be made. The Free Press of last Saturday contained the lollowing item which has a local bearing: " It is reported that a survey is being made for the proposed line of the Toledo and Ann Arbor road to Owosso. It is said that it will cross the Chicago and Fort Hurón Bailroad at or near Wheeler's school house in Antrim. Mr. Howord, of Ohio, railroad contractor and builder, was in our city on Friday last looking after the interests of his firm, who ome months ago were in negotiation with MrCrane for the purchase of the franchise, etc, of the Toledo, Ann Arbor and Northern Railroad Company.
