New litflit seems to be thrown upon the ld controversy as to the responsibility for the partial destrriotion of Kichmond at its evacuatiou by the Confedérate torces at the close of the war. lu a snit panding in the Circuit Court at Itichtttond, entitled Graham vb. tlie Mutual AsBurance Society of Kiohmond, this questiou has been raised.
