Dr. Henry A. Reynolds oponed his battery on King Alcohol at Mauistee Friday night last to a orowded house. The Hon. Cyrus Miles died at his residenco in Port Huron, at half-past two P. M. Maroh 1. Mr. Miles has baan an invalid for inore than a year, but not until within the past few mouths has his malady assumed a threateuiug form. The 8tomach and liver seeined to be the organs that were the seat of the disoase. He haa been a resident of Port Huron for twenty-four yors. Au old man, who xegistered at the Capital Hotel as Norman Cleveland, Hudson, Mich., Fobruary 28, was drowned near the bridge at the dopot of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Kailway last evening. He was re8pactably dressed, about 65 yeare old, and had bought a ticket for Hot Springs. Ninety-seven dollars wore found in his pocket. Fay Nickerson stabbed a man named Fred Burleigh, brother of the noted billiard-player, with a knifo, six times, in a row in a house of ill-famo, at Grand Rapids, Thursday night of last week. Burleigh injuries are not fatal. Nickerson was arrested on the charge of assaulting with intent to kill. He claims to have acted in self-defense. Friday evening last Mr. George Crane, proprietor of the Central ineat market, Ypsilanti, was followed whilo on his way home, which is near the western limits of the city, by two men. Supposing them to be neighbora or residents of that part of the city, he thought it nothing strange.
