Democratic State Convention
We have appointed Friday, the sixteenth of Murch, 1877, at noon, as the time, aad the Opera House, Lansing, as the place for holding a Democratie State Convention for the purpose of norainatiug one Justice of the Suprema Court m place ot Thomas M. Cooley, and two Begents of the University in place of J. H. McGowan and Joseph Estabrook, and for the transactiou oí such other business as may come beíore it. Each county will be entitled to four delegates to each Representativo to which, under the laat apportionmeut, it is entitled in the lower branch of the State Legislature ; bufc each uuorganized county wiü be entitled to at least two delefrates. No county, except those of the Upper Península, will be eutitled to be representad by delégate uot residejits of such county. We recommend to County Committees that their respective county conventions be called to oieet Saturday, March lOth, 1877, tor the purpose of electing delegates to the State Convention.
