A Democratie County Convention was held, pursuant to cali, at the Court House in thiB city on Tuesciay, March 13, at 11 A M. In the abaeuce of the clmirin.in of the County Coininittee the Couvention was called to order by E. 13, Pond, and was organmed by making Hou. W. D. Harriman, temporary chairinan, and C. J. Kintner, temporary secrotry. On motion, Messrs. David Depue, of Pittsfield; E. Clancy, of Northfield; and Peter Tuite, of Scio, were appoiuted a Comtmttee on Credeutials and Permanent Organizatiou, after which the Convention adjourned until 2 o'clock p. M. AFTEEN00X SESSION. The Conveutiou was called to order at 2 o'clock F. M., by the chairman. Committee on Credentials and Permanent Organization portea hst of delegates present, aud as permanent officers, President - Wm. D. Harriniau. Seoretary - Chas. J. Kintner. Kport accepted and adoptad. The Conveution then separated into subdistrict oonventions, aud reported as delegates to the State Convention : First district- John Starkweather, Myron Webb, John Bose, James M. Kelsey. Second district- John L. Burleigh, Hasoall Laraway, E. B. Pond, Chas. J. Kintner. Third district- J. J. Robison, C. S. Giegory W. H. Aruoid, Jacob Jedeie. Beports coufirmed. The delegatos were authorizod to subütitute in case of their inability to attend, and the delegation to fill vacancies. Conventiou theu adjournod line die.
