formers had another rousing meeting on Sunday evening last in the Opera House. Short addresses were made by Prof. Olney and Prof. Steere, and by President Schumacher, Messrs. Brownell, Davis, Flynn, McCarty and other members of the clnb, - some of whom spoke with great feeling from their own experience. The choir of the M. E. Church led the m&sic and the singing was inspiriting. A large number of members were enrolled and the red ribbon badge of reform and honor put on. On Monday the boys were on duty at the Opera House as noticed in another item. A large meeting was held at the Court House on Wednesday evening, for business purposes. On Sunday afternoon a general meeting will be held at the Opera House, which will be addressed by Dr. Palmer and others. - The club has rented rooms in the Opera House block, and a reading room, lunch room, etc, are to be opened. Now is the time for disbelievers in prohibition, legal suasion, or political temperance work to lend a helping hand.
