The most strange occurrence of the time is the death-in-lifo of Mis Aunie Goodale, the actress. It has not yct been meutioued in any of the ncwspapeis. She died three weeks ngo. Up to yeterday she was not buried. The corpse is -warm and Mmp, and the features ns soft and mobile as whett in life. Several doctors have examined her, and have ordered that the boly shall be watelied uight and day. The poor lady is cvidently in a trance, but whether shc is destined to come to life it is iinpuesible to say. Not long ago a General in Francc lay m a similar condition for three months, aftfr whieh time decomposition set in, witli every other indieation of death, and without any tokon of lifo all the time save the warmth and flexibility of the body. It is an awf ui thing to contémplate the possibility that Miss Gooilale is at this moment conscious of all that is passing around her, without the power to coniniunicnte witli her sorrowing friends, for snch consciousness is not micommon in some conditions of eatalcjisy, which paralyzes the body and suspvnd volition, bnt leaves the senses ïintinmmeled. Many an unfortuiv.itc peretu has been buried alive in this condition.
