B.- The Michigan Branch of the Woman's Missionary Board of the Interior will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 16, at 9 o'clock A. M. and at 2 o'clock p. M. The putilio are invitad to be present at tbe meetings. The Eed Ribaon- The Beiorra Club hold another large meeting at the Opera House on Snnday afternoon last, Vice-President Moore presiding. A selection from the Scripturea was read by Ueorge Jaoobus, and prayer wa3 offered by Wm. Noble. The speakers were Mayor Cramer, Guy Beckley, Wüliam Noble, and A. L. Ash. It is reported that the Mayor's speech did n't exactly satisfy the boys - who, many of them, think they know the power of appetite and the difficulty of breaking the chaina that have bound them, and now bind thousands of others, botter than ho. Besides, the protest that he was " too big to wear a red ribbon " they considered a reñsctiou upon their mental, moral, and physical size and weight. A number of additions were made to tbe Club. -The festival given on Friday evening by the Ladies' Temperance Union, assisted by the members of the Club, was a great success, - ïf large numbers, liberal feeding, and a heap of good nature are the elements of success, - and they are on such an. occasion. The Club rooms were profusely and appropriately trimmed with evergreens, wreatha and mottoes ornamenting walls and pillars, and bidding welcome to all, About 1,800 were fed, aud still tkere was more At a late hour the dimng room was cleared aul there was dancing for two or three hourï, - After nearly all had been setved, several young men came into the diniug room, and gave their orders to the young ladies in attendance aa if they werü commou waiters. This attracted the attention of one of the red ribbon boys, who remarked to one of the ladies : ■' Thoae are rough fellowa are n't they; they aro ítudents." How did ho know ?
