Echvonl Kent, the Venerable exGovornor of Maine, who died at Bangor S itunla-y, at the age of 75 yenrs, was graduated at Harvard iu the same class with Balpll Waldo Emerson and Josiah Qaincy. He was Whig candidate tot (ïovernor six timvs, luit eleoted only twice. Iu 1837, Ue was elecstedliy 193 majority, and in 1810 by a majority of ouly sixty-sovcn in the laxgest vote ever jjolled iu the State. Tlio last year was that of the (ïver-memornblc Harrison campaign.
