llie best solution of the Mormon problem yet proposed is that of dividing up Utah among the adjoining States and Territories. Two contiguous States, Nevada and Colorado, do not to-day contain a sufficient population to justity their admission. Nevada has not 60,000 people within its borders, and Colorado lias less than 100,000. Territorially there is 110 reason why the eastern portion of Utah should not be annexed to Colorado, and the western to Nevada. In ereating the original Territory of Nevadsv, a large slice was cut off from Utah, and another portion might now be added with advantage. Sueh an addition might prove advantageous in improving the politics of that State, by introducing therein another element. And there is no doubt that the people of Neva4a woiĆ¼d take due care to punish polygamy within their borders. Colorado would be benefited by the annexation of a portion of Eastern Utah, and the Territories of Idaho, Montana and Arizona could with advantage absorb the northern and soijthern portions.- San Franoimo Bulletin, Thb recent expositioiiB of land-grabbijig iu California show that about 200 men own about one4!ircl of tlm Jaaile'l (itkI otber property of til?
