The repoi't that the arms of the Veuus of Milo havo beeu discovered is confírmed by a letter received at the Stnte Departnient ia Washington from Gen. Meredith Kond, our Charge d' Affaires at Athens. He writes that they were fonnd on the Island of Milo, at a diatanoe of leas tliau thirty feet trom the place where the statue itself was foiind in 1820. He eays : " ïhe arms are exquisitely modeled.- One holdfta kind of diskor sliield. The wofkmanship and the lomlity oompel even the skeptica] to acknowledge the mthenticity of these wonderfjil relies." - Simnltaneously with this announoement emes news of the death of Col. Voutieri the discoverer of the Veuus of Mjlo, which occurred a few days ago at II veres, a health resort in the South of Frauee. Tu 1820, when a midshipmau in the Frenoh navy, Col.
