Supervisors held a session on Monday, at the request of the Court House Building Committee. By another resolution the amouut to be reserved on the mouthly payments to be made to contractors was reduced from 20 to 15 por cent. Still another resolution directed the financial agents of the oounty to borrow from or exhaust the $20,000 on which the county 13 now paying the city interest, before the sale of any bonds. During the session there was a flurry of excitement over a communioation sent in by the First National Bank offering 5 1-2 per cent. interest on the deposita of the county. Time was given the Savings Bank to bid and and its offer of 5 5-8 per cent. received, but no action was taken, and the moneys still remain in the control of the County Treasurer. There is no law that we can find directly authorizing the Board of Supervisors to take the moneys ot the county from the tieasuror and loan them.
